I bought this mostly because I just wanted a laser where I could see the beam! I didnt expect it to be so bright in some places! it is visible in broad daylight and definitely goes atleast half a mile clearly visible. I give this 4 stars because the button on this thing is crappy and lately mine has been weaker, probly because I used it alot but the button is definitely loose. But for $11 i dont think I could have asked for more!
Is it safe to laser engrave a new iPod?
I bought mine from Sam’s Club to save a few bucks, and I know a local high school with a laser engraver. They laser Engraver Printers use said engraver with metal, glass, paper, and wood. It has the capacity to etch on the back of the iPod.Would it be safe to ask them to engrave the iPod, or would it possibly damage it or void the warranty?I don’t want any “I think” or “I don’t know” answers. Thanks!

After receiving a laser pointer that appeared to be defective, I was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency, politeness, and attention from the seller, HDE. A return for replacement was quickly arranged and executed flawlessly. The replacement pointer works quite well. Battery life is somewhat low, but that is to be expected from these devices. I would recommend this pointer to others and highly recommend HDE as a seller.
The most I would pay for this item is $10 at the most. Its just a regular laser.
this laser is nice and strong and it comes with some cool little designs…they look sweet at night, my drive is very dark since I am far from any street lights….so they look sick at night…and you can even see the point in the middle of the day, just not as much fun, unless you are at a park >:)….
This is a good laser pointer, but be warned= 30mw is really more then you need. These laser pointers are cheap and have NO INFRARED FILTER which means that they are very, very dangerous to your eyes. I would recommend not using these indoors, actually. If it was a lower output at say 10mw, it may be ok, but at 30mw with no IR filter, these are actually extremely dangerous. But it works, and thats good. Sometimes it will dim a lot, but it is mostly the placement of the batteries. The pattern heads are interesting too, just dont shine them at people.
I got this today, the battery in the laser pointer looks like the most low quality painfully cheap battery I’ve ever seen. Anyways, this item was defective, the laser light was so weak I couldnt even see it on a surface really up close. Also, it only comes with one battery, not 2 like its featured in the photo. Returning for refund and will purchase a little more expensive but better quality one. The screwing ridges are really not smooth so its not the easiest to screw and unscrew to replace battery. I did replace the battery BTW to make sure the problem was not with the battery, even with new batteries this thing barely worked.
I bought this laser pointer with a free gift card that I had. Honestly didn’t expect too much, but my expectations were exceeded. This laser pointer is great, and definitely great for the price. I had to wait a few days before writing this review to make sure the product didn’t break first. It’s not the best laser pointer ever, but it’s honestly great for the price.Edit: Bought this product again, this time the batteries weren’t too good… They heated up and the laser stopped working, but putting in energizer batteries fixed it! Buy from HDE!
I had this product for a while an it’s horrible. It only works when you shake it and latley it’s Been overheating and getting really hot.I can’t use it anymore for fear it will burn my hand. I suggest that no one buy this product . Don’t waste your money!
Switch button broke first day would look elsewhere am getting refund but why go through that
This laser is ridiculously overpriced for the spec. This blue laser pointer (the exact model) can be found at many other stores for less than half the price shown here. It’s a CNI GLP-473nm blue pen which goes under many different names from resellers (e.g. “Aquarius” or “BluePhire” in this case), and sell for far less than the one shown here, especially considering the unbelievably overpriced shipping–far more than you’d pay even direct from China. Furthermore, the specs stated here are very vague and probably not even tested: the < 5mW could imply that you receive the lowest-end model of this blue laser (0.5-2mW) instead of the 3mW-5mW variety which you should receive for less than half this ridiculous price. The mW rating is how much power is outputted, i.e. the brightness; you'll want it as bright as you can get it within legal limits. There is also no mention of a warranty, which ought to be at least 6 months. The description is also incorrect. HD storage (e.g. BluRay) uses 405nm (violet) diode lasers, not the DPSS 473nm (blue) lasers found in this pointer. The blue (473nm) is actually “rarer” but can suffer from instability and overheating (don’t run these lasers for long bursts) just like green lasers.I gave this product 3 stars because they are nice pointers and they have a great color and appearance, as well as build. However, for this particular product, don’t get rooked into an overpriced deal when you could get something much better for much less.
this is actually not to good, yet it is a gazillion dollars.if you do not want to waste money please do not but this.but i hear orion has some great products!!!!!(i don’t work for orion.)
The laser pointer was exactly as advertised and the vendor sent it out promptly. I would buy from this vendor again.
The light output is as expected. Power button sometimes doesn’t seem to line up with the switch inside the unit. The part of the pen where the laser unit housing meets the battery pack keeps popping off. I tried a little super glue but it doesn’t seem to want to stay together. Not a big problem but if you are looking for quality, this is NOT it. Great for a pet toy, not reliable enough for a business presentation though. I guess you get what you pay for.
