Not much more to say than that. If you’re looking for a well built dual gang plate this one is it.

Difference between Tudor Plate and Silver Plate?
I have 2 sets Plate Engraving of antique silverware that are engraved ‘Tudor Plate’ and ‘Silver plate’. What’s the difference between them?

The pieces of plastic that holds the hdmi connections in place are not very strong. Once the plate is installed it does give a very clean professional look to the wall.

  2. Hang says:

The screws holding the HDMI connector to the plastic plate are small and break easily. I was pulling my receiver away from the wall which must have put tension on the bracket and it snapped. Unfortunate after spending $10 on it. Other than that, its worked well. Just be careful with it.

Inexpensive product in comparison to what home improvement and electronic stores offer. Used in our finsihed basement for cable connections, works great, quality is the same as the expensive ones.

  4. Jamison says:

I wish these things had a 90 degree connector. It is a bit of a press fit inside the wall with these. I wonder how long the cable that I laboriously ran through the wall will last with so much force keeping it bent. For now though, it is working.

  5. Hemming says:

Works great. One could easily run a HDMI, speaker wire and TV power cord through this. Exactly what I was looking for for a clean wall mounted HDTV installation.

I had searched all the local hardware stores for a wall plate to carry multiple wires and found nothing that pleased me. The Datacomm 45-0001-WH 1 did the job all with one plate and looks fantastic. I used it behind my wall mounted TV to funnel all the wires clean out of sight. I could not be more pleased. Thank You!

This product is of decent quality. It doesn’t take paint well unless you lightly sand it first. Also, for mounting, it requires the special drywall bracket. It should be sold as a kit IMO.

I mounted a TV on the wall of my kitchen and was looking for an inexpensive way to hide the wires. This is ideal. It’s simple to install. You just need two of these and two low voltage brackets like this: Arlington LV1-1CS Single Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket Device You use a stud finder to make sure you’re not looking to put this in a stud, and then use a drywall saw to cut the hole. Repeat to put the one down below. (Use a level to ensure they’re straight.) Insert the low voltage mounting bracket in both the upper and lower and then put the plate on the upper one. Start fishing cables through the wall. (It’s easier to leave the plate off the lower one until you fish all the wires out of the wall first.) Through a one-gang plate, I have an HDMI cable, a VGA cable, a set of composite cables with sound, a 1/8″ headphone jack cable, and a network cable. It’s tight, but everything fits.Order these plates. You won’t be disappointed.

I bought ‘2′ of these and will by 4 more.. They are great for low voltage. I just wish they came with the metal bracket.. ended up going to HD and got some for a 2 dollars, but would ahve been nicer to get in one package..

As others have noted these work very well and make for a very convenient conduit. Still a bit of work to fish the wires through but I was able to get my HDMI, Power, coax and an optical cable through the double sized without too much of a problem. Definitely makes for a nicely hung HDTV without seeing any messy wires.
