I read many of the Amazon reviews on Bose and other brands, but alas, I did not think I would have a problem with hissing in a $250 speaker set. I was wrong. I listened to the Bose Companion 3, Klipsch Promedia 2.1, Logitech Z523, and M-Audio AV40. IN THE STORE, the Bose sounded the best and had the best ergos. Very good mid- and high-level clarity with enough bass to suffice. Desktop puck is very handy and stylish, too. BUT, when you get the Bose home, you hear “the hiss”. Other reviewers have described this, and I don’t need to add to that. The hiss was noticeable at all volume levels except near-max. The noise was present in the subwoofer as well as the satelites. I could not get rid of it no matter what I tried. This is inexcusable in a high-end speaker system like Bose.Bose C3: -1 star for price way too high and -1 star for hiss = [3 stars]FYI, Klipsch had great bottom end with subwoofer volume and headphone jack on satelite speaker. Weaker than Bose in mid- and

I purchased this case in Jan 2010 and within the last month (less than 3 months after purchase) the vinyl faux graphite backing is coming off on 3 corners. Essentially the glue that holds it on is failing. It’s a material like faux leather. I had high hopes for this case as I liked it’s looks and ease of use but I can’t recommend it.

finally a functional 3GS case. I’ve purchased 3 cases so far this year alone it’s July by the way. and I have practiced using my 3Gs in the same manner using all 3 cases and so far this case exceeded my expectations. so what it means is I’ve dropped my 3GS with this case on the phone was fine and so was the case, it fits slim close to the phone, covers the phone nicely. I regret ever going to the apple store for 3GS cases because this was a fraction of what I’ve paid previoulsy for shabby cases, finally a case worth way more than the $ 15 I paid on amazon try $30 retail apple store for other brands.

I bought this in the Akihabara in Tokyo. It was love at first sight. The bottom strip broke soon afterward. Some time later, the fabric started to fray. Now a 2″ Chunk has fallen off on the upper left, about a year later. Not well made. Them’s the facts.

I bought this case from the apple store when I got my 3GS. I walked out very happy, as this is a pretty slick-looking case when it’s new. However, it started deteriorating very quickly and now looks so jank, I’m in the market for a new one.I think I’m a pretty typical phone user. I do carry my phone in my jeans pocket, but would never dare drop my beloved iPhone.Within a month the “chrome” lip was not-so-”chrome” anymore, as the silver paint had started to flake off. Within two months the vinyl started to peel away from the corners. And now, six months in, the bottom part of the case, whose plastic has cracked, refuses to stay on when I pull my phone out of my pocket. This case, especially given the high sticker price, is an awful buy.

The service was outstanding, and the product arrived in excellent condition. Thanks so very much. Superior job.

This bag is great! Our camera (Kodak 8612) would not fit in the matching small bag bought we bought this bag and fit a smaller bag inside that we bought from walmart. The velcro sides are very handy as you can organize the interior as you please. There is tons of storage, both sides open up, as well as bottom (we fit a small tri pod in the bottom). We also needed to it be very compact and it seems to work out great!

The camera bag is good for things i what it to.

I found the bag to be the perfect size for my superzoom Lumix. The build quality is great and so are the separate compartments. It’s a very nice looking bag too. Highly recommendable.

I woke up to a nice surprise this morning: a new kindle as a gift. I have an iPad and a Kindle DX, but I guess someone heard my complaints of them being too heavy and difficult to do extended-reading on. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my iPad and DX, but this new generation of Kindle is perfect for reading outside and for long periods of time. The iPad gets completely washed out in sunlight and often irritates my eyes staring at it for more than a couple of hours. The DX was my go-to device for those extended/outdoor reading periods, but now I have a new friend for reading novels. Instead of a replacement, this one seems more like a companion to the other devices and is a different class. The iPad works great for web browsing, shopping, productivity, games, etc while the Kindle falls short in those areas. The Kindle works great for reading novels, where the iPad falls short. For those that love to do extended-reading of magazines, newspapers, research articles, etc, I find that the DX is the go-to device. Without a doubt, the size and weight of the new kindle is the biggest draw for me. It’s smaller than the last edition by a significant margin. I’ve played around with the Kindle 2 and was impressed, but now looking at the size of the new Kindle, I’m blown away. It’s the absolute perfect size. Smaller would be unmanageable and larger wouldn’t feel nearly as good. This is a device that you can hold up, read, and just forget that it’s there. One of my biggest complaints about the previous generation Kindles and the DX is the speed. It sometimes takes a while after you push `next page’ for it to actually change. In addition, the web browsing feature was so slow and clunky that it is really unusable in my opinion. Two additions to the new Kindle have helped attenuate these issues. First, the pages do flip quicker (albeit, still slow in my opinion), and the addition of wifi has allowed faster connection for wireless activities (much better than only relying on 3G). I still can’t see myself using the Kindle as an internet browsing tool or really doing much online aside from purchasing reading material, but the faster connection at least opens up the possibility – something that would only frustrate me on previous editions. The new Kindle also offers a better contrast than previous editions – it looks fantastic compared to every other e-reader I have seen – and offers double the storage compared to Kindle 2. I’ve never had a problem with the amount of storage since I can’t possibly see myself filling up that much space (I don’t put mp3’s on it), but perhaps in the future, if certain applications or media files are put on the kindle, it could have been a problem. The additional space in the new model is definitely a welcome addition, but bringing back the memory card slot that was included on Kindle 1 would have been an even more welcome addition in my opinion. This is definitely a great device, but the dilemma of “should I buy it?” really comes down to what you want to use it for. Do you want a device to read novels on, perhaps read outside, and have something very light that you almost forget it’s there? Buy the Kindle. Do you want something to lie in bed with for short periods of time while surfing the web? I might suggest going with the iPad, a different tablet, or a netbook. Do you already have a Kindle 1 or 2? That’s a tough one…. I don’t think the new edition has enough `new’ to it to warrant the upgrade in my mind, but some might value the new size and wifi capabilities even more-so than I do. For me, the new Kindle was a welcome addition to my family of devices since I didn’t have anything anywhere near its form factor and convenience. Should you get 3G + Wifi or just Wifi? I think this question can be answered simply by asking yourself if you travel a lot. Being able to buy books and access wireless content on the road is an indispensable option and well worth the extra money in my mind. Keeping the device mainly at home or near wifi hotspots really negates the need for 3G though.Overall, I have to give the Kindle a 5 star rating because it does what it was designed to do very well, and in my opinion better than any of the competition. While the new features and capabilities aren’t game-changing and truly outstanding, it is smaller, more capable, and better than any other e-reader out there. If you want `one device to handle it all’, this isn’t the place to look, but If you want a fantastic device solely for reading books, this is what you want.

I returned my purchase to Bose for an exchange for one that doesn’t have the same problem. I left empty-handed.Turns out the problem is just mine. When the CD Changer is attached to the Wave CD player the system will only stop playing the CDs when you push “STOP” on the remote! Otherwise the CD or CDs will play endlessly. Or I can disconnect the CD Changer from the main CD Player for those times I want to just play one CD and have it stop when it’s done.I said to the tech on the phone and the salesperson in the store that $650.00 is a lot of money for a system that can’t just play one, two or more CDs and stop when finished playing.I guess they specialize in superb sound with limited focus on other features. Maybe they feel that the sound is so good that you will want to hear it non-stop!So I will look for something less costly for the bedroom upstairs. I will wait for Bose to “fix” this “problem”. It seems so basic.

  11. Janzen says:

Without this changer, the basic Bose Wave Music System will hold two CDs, but with it attached to your system, you can load five CDs and enjoy hours of uninterrupted music. My only gripe is that I had to set up my Bose Wave Music system first, and then “add-on” the changer by installing extra software located on one disc (included). This really isn’t much of a hassle, but it does take a bit of extra work. (Make sure you follow the instructions carefully, and you shouldn’t have any problems). The bottom line is that this changer works flawlessly; helping the Wave Music System put out hours of fantastic sound, and it is well-worth the extra cost. And when your system is playing, your friends won’t believe the sound is coming from the little “radio” on your nightstand. You can’t beat the sound for the price. I did my homework before purchasing, and my research kept bringing me back to the Bose Wave System. I read reviews that found the average person can’t detect the difference between this system, and one costing two or three times more, and I have to agree. I’m certainly no expert, but to me the Wave System lives up to its reputation. Having said that, this multi-CD changer makes the system much more convenient and adds to the enjoyment you will receive from your Bose Wave System.
